My friend bought this dress for me for Christmas.
She's interested in dolls, but is still fairly new to it all, so she handed it to me and said "I hope it's the right size"
And it was!
It was a touch large in the waist, but I just sewed some black ribbon to the back, and tied a big bow to cinch it in.
The wig is just the straight black one from some earlier photos, but I used clips to hold it up in pigtails.
This really doesn't look like Cassia, but it's cute!

Kaia's Day at Work

I decided to bring Kaia with me to work today ...



Kaia: "Can I come out now?"
Beth: "Of course"



Beth: "Do you need some help?"
Kaia: "Nope, I can do it!"
Beth: "Okay ... but be careful"



Kaia: "See, I told you I could do it"
Beth: "I'm sorry I doubted you"
Kaia: "Well, now that I'm here, what am I supposed to do while you work?"
Beth: "How about you take off your jacket and get comfortable?"





Kaia: "Now what?"
Beth: "Why don't you look around, I'm sure there's something you can play with"



Kaia: "A Pirate ship!"

Kaia: "I can't reach it, can you get it down for me please?"
Beth: "Sure thing"



Kaia: "Yay!"



Kaia: "Thank you!"



Kaia: "Vrrroom!"
Beth: "Vroom?"
Kaia: "Well ... I don't know what sound pirate ships make ..."

I haven't been doing much with Cassia recently, but I got inspired by a Halloween themed doll meet to finally sit down and make that pirate outfit I've always wanted her to have.

Tomorrow is my 2-year wedding anniversary, and we are going to the park for a nice walk, and then we will probably go to dinner at La Spaghetteria where we went for our very first anniversary nearly 13 years ago!
This is my test run on a bento box for a picnic lunch tomorrow.
I think it is a success.

I made a 'Zingy Pesto Tuna Wrap' using a flax seed tortilla (TheHusband loves flax seeds and it's healthy!), I changed the cheese to havarti, because I'm not a big fan of provolone and I left out the olives, because TheHusband is not a big fan of those.
Other bits included are baby corn, carrot sticks, two apple bunnies, two cheddar hearts, and for 'dessert' a two-bite brownie hidden under some swedish fish.

I'm taking this one with me to my granny's house today for lunch while I do laundry and try to take some photos of Cassia.

Playing with posing. It was quite hard to get her to stand like this, I had to keep tweaking her arms and torso joint to find the perfect centre of balance for her.
