Of all of the RPG characters I've had over the last several years, she is one of my favourites, and has been tucked away in the back of my head since that game ended.
Her tattoos were painted on with acrylic paint - to avoid it looking to thick or paint-like, I thinned it down and did multiple coats (I've been painting metal miniatures for years, and yes, the miniature I used for Kaia was only about an inch tall and had tattoos, so these ones were not difficult)
Her clothes were made using felt and trim. The feathers on her top were collected from my grandmother's cockatiel (naturally shed) - they were from his face and head, so that's why they're so small!
Her bow was constructed using a round toothpick that I soaked in water overnight. I took it directly from the water, slowly bent it around a bottle and held it in place with a piece of string for a few hours until it was completely dry. It did splinter a bit, so I wrapped it in thread to hold it all together (I tied off the same piece of thread to create the bowstring). She will eventually get a quiver with some arrows, a cloak and a small wardrobe of adventuring clothes.
